The current version automatically resizes some SVGs

I mean Cricut, why?

With the latest update of the Cricut Designer Space, you will find that some types of SVG will open with different sizes, larger than the original ones but above all sizes that sometimes exceed the cutting space of the mats.

This information wasn’t provided but simply noticed. Indeed, we found ourselves with a problem to be solved without any warning.

To date, there is no information as to whether this will be fixed or whether it will simply remain that way.

When it isn't a problem?

For the use of 2D svgs, "one single piece" svgs , simple draws and words that you normally resize before being used.

When it's a problem?

When it's a 3D project with more pieces to be cut and assembled.

In the case of LPPSVG file projects, this turns out to be a problem because all files should be at the right size without needing to be resized.

*Although this is a problem, it can be solved with simple steps.

Solutions:

I’d kindly appreciate your understanding if you find that your lppsvg files do not have the correct size. I tried to solve it as fast as I could and here are the solutions.

All LPPSVG files have been updated to work with this version to keep their original size.

Starting from February 20th, all new purchases will find updated files.

Instead, files that you have previously purchased may encounter this problem.

For this reason, I’ll insert in this post the correct size of some SVG projects.

If you want to receive the updated versions of your files, please enter the project name, email, your name or order number here and you will receive the updated files via email (wetransfer link) ASAP.

If you want to correct them by yourself, the files still keep proportions, but they have to be resized together and for this reason, the information below, works for the files of the entire project (Cricut ALL PROJECT folder).

Here are the correct sizes (inch):

*make sure that the lock is locked in order to resize the group keeping proportions

* For missing projects please send me a message.

For designers,

when saving an SVG designed with softwares such as Illustrator, Corel, Inkscape... there are saving options and with the right setting, the Cricut software will upload the files keeping the correct aspect ratio. If you are a designer that uses Illustrator, and need information, you can contact me here

*Not all SVG files will encounter this problem, based on the files I have and could try I can inform you that SVGCUTS and 3DSVG maintain the correct properties.

I hope the article was helpful.

Please contact me for any help or information.
